Hello
Can anyone tell me if this kind of boat would be damaged by lying on a mud berth
My old Hardy was fine but I am looking to by the 21 and am not sure if she would suffer from the weight on drying out
any info welcome or anyone selling a 21

There's at least one that dries onto hard sand at Lyme Regis, has done so for years with no obvious problems.

I also am considering buying a Sprint, and have been advised to buy with big engine option (205hp).

They do seem a bit expensive (14k to 17.5k) - the older Weekenders are considerably cheaper (8.5 to 11.5K), and remember that you should be able to get a Sunfury/Carrera for around 18/19k.

Maybe as there are quite a few on the market at the moment, you could get a reasonable one for 13k.

I have a Sprint - for 2 years I've had it on a drying berth. No problems at all. The hull on the Sprint is very strong. The only thing I didn't really like doing was having to leave the leg up all the time

If it is a mud berth she is drying out on then it will be good for the boat. The mud will take away Oxygen thus preventing growths and act as a protector.
