Good friend of mine Stuart Jackson is skipper aboard "Barclays Adventure"....Just seen Sunday's forecast for SW gales, should be a great beat out of the Solent, wish I could be there...best of wishes and good safe passage to all those concerned.

Same wish from here too.

We get to have them again here in Wellington during Jan, Feb for their long halfway around stopover (liftouts, etc).

Echo the sentiments. Good old slog to windward all the way preceded by a good old slog to windward up the Solent and these people actually PAY for the privilege!
What time re they expected to pass Lee-on-Solent? I want to go out and cheer them on (If I can see them through the rain!)

Re: May winds be fair

I love those Challenge yachts. Will be at Hurst Castle on Sunday whatever the weather! I know somebody on VAIO and on Dee Caffaris yacht..which one do i back??

They were truly spectacular at Hurst today, Sony Vaio looked almost about to fly before they tacked.

Anybody else there see the "Balmoral Castle" do a u turn in the Hurst channel,in middle of the fleet, well laden with spectators..looked as if it was about to roll!
