Most folk would give their eye teeth for a faded flag.....SHows a seriously keen sailor..Some straggly bits would add to the value..

Buy a new one and flog the old one to Heras Master! I'm on my sixth since leaving UK...all the old ones faded in sun and/or shredded in gales!

While rummaging in the loft I found a faded Red Ensign complete with staff, must have bought it at a boat jumble, but can't remember where or when. It's one of the old sewn ones, that is each colour is sewn on. It must be a yard long but narrower than todays yard long flags, it's got a couple of moth holes so I suppose it's defaced. I'll drag it out next summer and give it a fly, if we get a summer that is.
