I slapped it on with a two inch brush. The canopy soaked it up, though, after pressure washing and then two dry days before starting the job. I ran out with 90% covered and had to go buy some more ! I've used the spray(s) before, but they seem to apply a really fine coat, and I believe the protection should be better/longer-lasting with a damn good dollop of the stuff. Sprays and liquid about same price, but you seem to get more with the liquid, FWIW.......
Best idea is to get a spray and a brush on pack. Use the spray and when it is empty, refill with the other .That way you will get a good coverage with the spray and save some dosh .
If you can, use Fabsil GOLD.. much better than the regular stuff. I used a spray aplicator and seemd to work at well as a brush... its also much quicker and you waste less.
My thoery was if i sprayed a coat on every time i left the boat it would build up and give the best protection . Im not sure if its worked better than a brush but i like to think it has after getting covered in the stuff every time i left the boat /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Apply just like Brut 33, "splash it all over". The canopy will soak up lots of it so get a big can. This will be the thick end of £20 or more, but money well spent.
Last time I purchased it in a swindlery, it was £15.00 per litre. At my local camping shop, it was just under £7.00 per litre, for the exact same stuff.
