Fabric Dye for Boat Cushion Covers

I haven't heard of a dye specifically for marine stuff. Dylon do a range. Some of them you can bung the whole load in a washing machine and do it all in there. But remember to do a 'nothing in the machine' wash afterwards to get rid of all the dye before you wash your whites!

Usually these diy dyes are only really suitable for natural fibres, like cotton and won't work so well on synthetics like polyester. Also, usually need to be quite hot, so there is a danger of the fabric shrinking. If it does that, you'll have a job getting them over your foam afterwards.

But someone will probably be along in a minute or two to say there is some special stuff that does exactly what you want ...

Tried this approach on our boat curtains over the winter, if you are looking to change colour or have any kind of red to remove first then it's a waste of time & money.
We ended up ruining the perfectly good curtains & had to buy quite a lot of fabric dye to do so, the price of replacement fabric was cheaper!
