I noticed on my way down to the boat last night that EYE Co at the Gunshed near Levington ar enow open on Saturdays from 9-1300. All Levingtonians will know soon enough, but other may be interested.

PS I put the boat back on the mooring after far too long in the marina and took three attempts to pick it up. No excuse, just out of practice.

I too noticed they were open on Saturdays. But there can't be many passing container ship captains who find they need a length of chain on Saturdays, can there?. I would have thought that more of a weekday trade. 4m high buoys too.

Still have that to look forward to - last picked up a mooring in September /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

They do small stuff, and are much much much more reasonable than swindleries for chain, anchors mooring lines etc. I've used them several times before. Don't be put off by the big stuff in the yard, they are very helpful.

Likewise. At least my log seems to have started working, just confirming that 4 knots is too fast, as is 1.9 knots, to pick up a mooring. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
