Extending Radar Cable

I need to extend the standard Raymarine Radar cable by about 3-4m and find it hard to justify approaching £100 for another complete cable, is there an alternative option?

Also any recommendations as to a good waterproof gland for the through deck bit?

Everyone told me that it was a tuned length and couldnt be cut and joined so I did and it works fine

I have a spare length of cable, the plug on the end is damaged, I bought a short piece with a plug on and joined it with bullet connectors, with no problems, I can cut you off 3 or 4 meters if you let me know exactly how much you need.

You might know this but.
It is possible to connect radar cables without to much trouble but if you extend or shorten it you need to change the "timing" (as raymarine call it) on the settings on the display.
Dont know what you have to change it to though so you will probably have to talk to raymarine.
Apparently it changes how far things look on the display.
