These guys have been around for a while with different sites. I think its a scam, the prices are too cheap and 'buy it now' with bank transfer. Send them an email and ask to view the boat you fancy and see what they say.

Gets better, the scamera dealer, shares an address with

Merthyr Tydfil Rugby Football Union Club

The Boat importer is a trading estate, I can't make out the sign from google street view to see which companies inhabit the trading estate, but it's not really relevant at this point it's obviously a scam.

P.S the phone number is a VOIP number so could be anywhere.

I'm guessing somewhere in Africa at the moment.

I have a friend who is in need of a cheap boat... nudge nudge...

The trailer on the Ebay boat looks to be a US spec one, you need to confirm its UK legal.

He has taken a pic of the serial number and doesnt mind me sending a marine engineer to inspect the engine, BUT he doesnt come across as the boating type in the few emails i have had with him:rolleyes:

What would happen if you had a non legal boat in the UK and who would even know:confused:

Probably nothing, but differences could include wrong size tow ball or no brakes. It will only be a problem if you get stopped by the Police or have an accident, not sure if insurance would pay out with an illegal trailer.

It may be completely legal, you need to ask the question.

Easiest and cheapest way to check engine for a start is to run it on muffs, you cant check the drive train but you can get an idea of T&P.

Not even tried to hide Americanisms in the ads- such as "tires, molded, gas engine, gage, sales tax" etc:
