Any experts on Fleet Broadband please?

I am specifically interested in the air time packages. Perhaps I am being stupid but it seems to me the various suppliers are almost as unclear as they possibly can be as to how the various packages actually work!

As I understand it there are two main types - prepaid and post paid?

It seems to me the prepaid gives a data and call allowance each month depending how much you spend. I assume, but am not certain, whether the rates suggests it is a fixed amount of data, but you pay for the calls and pay for any data over run?

I also assume the data (and calls) do not over run one month to the next?

I am totally confused how the post paid works. Is it literally a pay according to what you use and is there a fixed amount you still pay every month?

I would like to have a service while in the UK to test the system and for occasional use while keeping the spend as low as possible (because the use will be limited, with perhaps a higher use for short periods). It also seems to me while cruising there will be periods of much higher use (while the Sat. connection is the only one available) and equally periods of much lower use (while other means are available). Can this be achieved?

Thank you - I am very familiar with the hardware cost and understand this element (I think!).

I was far more interested in how the air time packages work in reality. As I say I have looked at a number of the packages on offer but find it far from clear how they "work" along the lines I set out in my first post.

Call the suppliers and talk to them. Let them know your requirements and get them to give you a quote. Nobody on here will have the most up to date information.
