A forumite kindly sorted a berth to leave 'Saebryht' on for the past week and now I request further advice;

Where to park in Exmouth for a couple of weeks while we head further West? The council car parks can't help, nor can the marina. If the worst comes to the worst I shall abandon the banger in a side street for a couple of weeks, but it's not ideal.

I take it you found the mooring? I've left a car parked in the road on many occasions without problems. Another option is to park it on a road in Topsham which is what most people who live there do, and catch the train to Exmouth, they run every 30 minutes

Train is far too expensive. We hired a car to get home but seeing as we're only going to be sailing for a couple of weeks this time it makes sense to take the car and then use public transport the relatively short distance from wherever we leave the boat next time, probably somewhere around Plymouth, back to Exmouth.

Thanks for the mooring, longjohnsilver. First instalment was left with the harbourmaster.

sarabande; thanks for the offer but I couldn't impose on you that much. Could meet up for a beer, though. We should be there on Monday, planning to be away to Dartmouth Tuesday.
