Exhibition sports

So we got the 2012 Olympics.

Usually the host nation includes some 'exhibition sports', in the hope that they will be sufficiently interesting to be adopted for future competition. That's how beach volleyball started, for instance.

What sports would Scuttlebutters include? Preferably with a nautical flavour?

I was wondering about a nautical equivalent to that ski race where they periodically stop to shoot. Perhaps with PWCs as targets?

Why have sychronised diving with subjective judgment when you could have Bombing and measure the amount of water displaced by the competitor?

Radio 2 suggested scallop racing, one thing the french would find east to swallow.

Now that I'd pay to see. Inflatables instead of racing shells, over a 2000m course. The winner would deserve a gold medal.
