All the way from Fambridge to Burnham! It was getting a little too exciting for the liking of some of the crew so we knocked it on the head for the night. Anybody else about?

We'll be up tomorrow for a play in Jim's miniboat. What berth are you on?

My goodness, there are some intrepid sailors about. I can say with pride that when we were based at Maylandsea, we sometimes cruised all the way to Osea Island and back, and all in one weekend.

Hey look, it's scary stuff out there you know! There's waves and ships and sandbanks and things. It's safe here (and there's beer) :-P

I'm based at Maylandsea. Once when I went out, the wind was so light it took twenty minutes to get past two moorings, so I turned round, went back to my mooring, and spent the day sitting in the cockpit watching the world go by (or not). Total trip - about 200 yards.

A noble passage, I have done Brightlingsea to Pyefleet Creek and back a few times.

A former sailing friend of mine, when he was trying to build qualifying miles in his log book for his day skipper ticket, would record all such trips including noting weather conditions and crew. Any time he left the mooring he booked it!!
