congrats vagabond.... enjoyed looking at your website of the trip and your itinerary.... Only one problem.... you sail right past the Peloponnese in Greece and don't drop in! You are missing some of the greatest places ever! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If you get into Kalamata marina, let me know and we will enjoy sharing a few bottles with you! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We have only really planned the first 3 months and everything after that is up to us.

I'm looking for ideas from those with local knowledge on where to go so Peloponnese in Greece is now on the list! We'll see you there! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Crikey... puts our 3 month summer cruise to Malta to shame!

I thought we'd done well to get to lagos for Winter last year.

Are you leaving the UK to liveaboard indefinitely? If so, (non of my business obviously but...), can I ask why you arent intending to take things a bit more leisurely, and spend a bit of time in a few places?

bayona instead of Vigo??

nip into Lagos before dashing to Gib?

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard,

We are making a dash for a Little Ship Club cruise in Croatia at the end of May which is why we are making a dash for it.

Also I have a windsurfing clinic I going to in Rhodes .... can't miss that and hang around at anchor in beautiful bays all day! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yes we are stopping off in Bayona and Lagos.... GoogleEarth convinced me of that!

Excellent! We'll be here..... and it's also an excellent place to winter up.
Drop me an email when you are heading this way and I'll get the ouzo chilled and prepare the coals for the fish! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

bon journee ! vagabond , we sailed to the med last summer (greece) and i wish i had taken more time than the 7 weeks, it is a wonderful experience .be ready for the lows , they will soon be eclipsed by the highs, enjoy the dolphins ,flying fish and whales but your memories will last forever , graham , WildHoney , cat.

we are hoping to be in Gib circa 5th-7th April, all being well, so will look forward to seeing you there.

Have to say your time plan looks a bit detailed - ie specific locations on specific dates. One thing I have learned in planning our own passage from Spain back to UK, is that you can't plan too far ahead. Weather, illness, breakages, choosing to stay in one place a bit longer, all sorts of reasons why you have to expect to be flexible the further you go.

you mean envious

heyho. Have a good trip.

FYI, you can only be jealous of something that is yours. If others don't have that thing/lifestyle then they are ENVIOUS. Unfortunately your blog will therefore be tainted by the fact that the author doesn't actually know the exact meaning of various words. even extending to those chosen as website name. Perhaps take a lot of pix? :-)

happy sailing
