Exceptional high tides

Had my lunch in 18 inches of water in the village square today. Highest level since records began according to the local news. Certainly the highest I and others can remember in 20 years or more.
 
Presently anchored half way up Loch Fyne, low water at 0700 this morning was below CD. There was a lot of beach to be seen!
 
No longer aground in Newtown creek. But suspect our early ish departure plans are doomed as re-anchoring consent not granted :devilish:. I want the glorious late afternoon and sunset to linger in the memory not a motorised slog sail that could be the reality tomorrow. We're gambling. The low tide this morning on our mooring outside Northney marina was spectacularly low.
