Excellent service

I must congratulate Ocean install who are the service company bit now of Marine Electronic Services Ltd. They had installed my Raytheon Radar at the start of the summer. I phoned them on monday morning saying that moisture had penetrated the display (which is in the cockpit). By monday afternoon the display had been removed and has been repaired and reinstalled today (Friday). Excellent service from Ocean Install. They are extremely professional and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

I too had excellent service this week, orderd my Soltron on Monday, from the Northern distributor within, arrived here on Wednesday.

Also got excellent service this weekend - posted a query on Hurth Gearboxes some weeks ago, had lots of advice, got in touch with local dealer who advised a new box - Too expensive - spoke to Hurth last wednesday who said they would put assembly details in post - Saturday morning post arrived with TWO workshop manuals!! - old type and new type! I was gobsmacked! - also told me local dealer is not a dealer any more...
But still can't find anything obviously wrong with the innards - still looking...

Since getting my boat this year, I must admit to being somewhat amazed by the general good service and helpfulness of many Companies that I have had the good fortune to talk to. I'm sure there are exceptions, but in the boating world I have found that 'Customer Service' still has some meaning, and long may that be the case.
