So, after a long and hot day, tonight I will finally be able to sleep onboard the DP for the first time!
But no pics of a beautiful secluded bay, I'm afraid.
In fact, there's still plenty of things to be completed, on top of the missing stuff which you can see in the pic below - spot what's missing, anybody? :D
But for us, putting the boat back in her natural environment and be able to actually use her is already a big result anyway!

And for those of you who remember this debate about the deck refitting (originally covered with teak), I thought to post a first pic to give an idea of the final result achieved with the KiwiGrip stuff.
In hindsight, I think it's amazing how nicely the real thing matches the modified pic (also attached below) that I made to get the feeling of the non-teak covered deck...

She looks great, P. Here's hoping that you and S will have many happy years with her

Many thanks, folks.
Also myself and swmbo are indeed happy to not have a teak deck anymore, and we think that in spite of the rather classic boat lines, she actually looks better and somewhat more modern without it.
Not to mention the functional standpoint: already on the very first day, we had enough sun to make walking barefoot on the swim platform (which still has teak, and is exposed to sun) impossible, while the deck was MUCH cooler and comfortable.
Too soon to draw any conclusions about the KiwiGrip in other respects like durability or grip when wet, but so far so good, overall.
If anyone is interested to see better how the thing looks, I'm adding a detail pic below.

Well spotted JTB + Pinnacle, but there's more. Not only the anchor, but also the windlass is still to be reinstalled - and the same goes for the steel plate under the bow roller. New window covers are also late...
If there's still an economic crisis out there, boat refitters surely are not worried about it - aaarumph! :ambivalence:

@Wandering Star: sorry, I'm way too lazy to deal with mast & sails.
I might have considered a Nordhavn 56 motorsailer maybe, but as for all of their other boats, prices are just silly and I'm not in a position to look at boats with a money no object approach.
Otoh, what makes you think that a copy of colregs is missing...
...or that I need to read colregs to be aware of them, anyway

That's quite an aggressive non slip pattern, is it comfortable underfoot, and doesn't it collect dirt like a dog in a muddy park?

Anyway, congrats on getting back on board, and hope you have a great summer on her.

That pic close up is exactley what I have on my Itama
Fordeck. Side deck , cockpit ,under the rear sun pad ( top of aft cabin )
It's grippy underfoot even wet and as you say cool .
How ever when it's 30 + even that gets hot ish .

Do you know how they apply it ? Is it two pack -mix and working time to get it on ?
Those peaks --- some kind of roller ?
Does n,t look DIY able .

Just interested cos I have it ,or it's looks the same .

I think it wears slightly over time deck brushing etc .
Ours is a lot paler -off white .
It does not seem to get dirty or act as a dirt magnet from experiance .

Just hose it off normally -say after getting it mucky using the slime lines @ bow

Maybe the texture actually hides gray GRP runs from the rain -dunno .

Nice looking boat, but pardon my ignorance, what's with the tall s/s hoop on the bow rail?

A place to have the anchor light. (Apparently some historic IT thing about the anchor light being over the anchor, not just somewhere where it can best be seen, as done by most non IT manufacturers). If I have got this wrong, MapisM will be along to admonish and correct me shortly! :D:D

Ah / you are the first person to answer this question.
Seralia has a very tall hoop and no one (until now) can tell me why.

And there was me thinking it was the traditional place on Italian boats to hang mutinous crew. There have been times when I have wished for a similar hoop on my boat to keep my crew in order:D

Thanks MapisM looks like I have found the product to refinish the foredeck on our newly acquired vessel.

Apparently it will cover existing antislip texture too.. pretty impressive for an acrylic... And not badly priced either! Here anyway
