Hi, Following some advice a few months ago I have tried to join the Eventide OC website to try and trace my dad's old golden hind, but after at least two months I still can't log in because my account is awaiting approval by a moderator. I can't see any way of contacting anyone direct so if anyone on here is a member can you give your moderator a nudge please? My proposed username is larry

thanks

Putting two and two together, and quite possibly arriving at at least five, I have a hunch that your regrettable failure to hear from a moderator here might possibly be mitigated by an appeal to the gentleman who runs this site and who seems to me to be not unconnected with Eventides.

Eventide Owners CLUB? There's an Eventide Owners Association, whose website www.eventideowners.org.uk has a message board, for which as far as I can see you don't have to register, and an Eventide Owners Group, indeed run by Seagull doctor John Williams, where you do have to register. I suspect the EOA might be a better bet for Golden Hind info, trhough many people I believe join both

There was a Golden Hind Owners Association, run by the builder, Mark Urry but since he's retiring, I suspect it's become inactive. You could try him though: 07759082624 or e-mail on goldenhindmarine@yahoo.co.uk

Hi Snappy

What's the name of the Golden Hind in question?

The GH is without doubt one of the finest craft sailing the seven seas, and you may get some information on this forum. I'm not even slightly biased, of course.

I sail a GH31 myself, and have a good idea of the locations of the other ones on the East Coast.

Hello Larry,

hope after all these years you are still on the Forum. Do not know which forum you were trying to log onto, as ours at that time did not need a username. Spammers put paid to that, but the new Forum on the Eventide Owners Group site is free and easily accessable. Try the site for 700 owners and over 500 boats. loads of photos of all the designs. Hope to hear from you via the site.

Regards
John

To all who have experienced difficulty in accessing the forum on the EOA website please note that, due to a variety of reasons, we no longer have a forum on our new web site. We can however be contacted via the site at www.eventideowners.org.uk. We still have an active membership and wlecome new enquiries. We are always willing to offer help and advice when requested.
