I was asked to look at an Evasion 32 today, and whilst generally in good order, the rudder had been modified. The original GRP rudder had had a fillet of wood about 4 inches deep added to the rear of the rudder, with some fairly crude metal straps.
Anybody got any ideas why? Does the Evasion have a steering problem - possibly astern, as she has a long keel, and some long keeled boats are pigs to steer whilst going the wrong way!
