Has anyone used EVA closed cell foam sheets
on their inner cabin GRP hull
as insulation

Have tried a tester using contact adhesive, seem to be holding ok

Yes. Cleaned the areas with stainless wire brush and acetone, warmed/dryed with a hot air gun and used heavy duty, high temperature, spray on contact adhesive. Still there after five years. I managed to get 25mm thick on in most places. Inside lockers if it showed, I covered it with plain (not foam backed) vinyl also using contact adhesive. Top tip is to template the area you are fitting first, get that to fit well and the insulation is easier to fit. Behind the cooker I even managed to get Formica laminate to follow the hull curve on top of the insulation also using contact adhesive.

Thanks for the replies men :encouragement:

EVA does seem to be very durable and cheap enough
and easy to work with

Now to resource some heavey duty heat resistant adhesive
