Still in consultation but bad news for anyone considering purchasing a US boat in the near future....

Tariffs to be applied to...

89031010 Inflatable vessels for pleasure or sports, of a weight <= 100 kg each
89031090 Inflatable vessels, for pleasure or sports, of a weight > 100 kg each
89039291 Motor boats for pleasure or sports, of a length <= 7,5 m (other than outboard motor boats)
89039299 Motor boats for pleasure or sports, of a length > 7,5 m (other than outboard motor boats and excl. seagoing motor
boats)

See: http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2018/march/tradoc_156648.pdf

Also bad news for people like Bates whose business partly involves the import of American boats.

What would be really bad would be a tit for tat response from Trump that could seriously impact EU and UK boat builders.

Guess I'll have to cancel my Nordhaven order!

Trump complained that far too many Audi/Merc/ BMW cars were being sold in USA.
A nameless member of a German car company mentioned that it might help if the US produced a few decent cars that the US market actually wanted to buy . !

There’s far too many here as well, our roads would be a lot safer without them.

..........and may I ask where you got this 'fact'???!!!

By driving close to 50k miles a year and passing many accidents where there’s always a German car involved and sick of being tailgated by impatient t**** driving German cars who think they own the road and have right of way over everyone else, for that reason I would never wish to own one. They also have an issue with queues at junctions where they feel it’s right to push to the front and cut up who ever is i their way. Another case of the majority spoiling it for the others.

Blimey, life on the road must be thoroughly miserable for you. How do stop yourself driving off a cliff when all those cars from the Fatherland start getting too much for you? I have one car made in Birmingham and one made in Stuttgart. Will I become an altogether kinder and more considerate person if I just stick to the Brummie car?:D

Nahh, I enjoy driving but don’t do impatient risk taking idiots who are in too much a hurry to have any respect or consideration to others.
