I used to love a good boat jumble, dodgy flares, "unusual" tins of anti-fouling, pirate CD's of nav charts, ex RN kapok Life jackets, and I once bought 30 metres of 8mm anchor chain that I had to carry across a very muddy field near Colchester

Not sure why I would go to one nowadays though?

It is ok for the commercials but I am not sure the contents of my shed would cover the £25.00 pitch charge!

How much! I guess as the number of pitches decreased they put up the charge and created a vicious circle, we used to go to all the EA ones but not for the last three years or so as they got smaller and smaller with far fewer pitches that were just the stuff a bloke could fit in his car boot - they were always the most interesting ones.

Was not overly impressed with this one - what do others think? I got a few little bits I required but it seemed to me to be at least 50% new stuff. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, but I do wish there was more of the 'shed fodder' at these boat jumbles.

I managed to spend nearly £100, but I was struck how I throw things away that were in better condition than some of the tat there.

I think someone has made a mistake! The venue website and the organisers have it scheduled for Sunday 19th March??
