I think there a boat jumble in Battlesbridge in early Sept.

Can anyone say whether it's worth going to? I went to my first boat jumble in Kent earlier this year and thought it was brilliant. Bought absolutely LOADS of stuff I didn't need. :-)

Anyone going?

Well, looks like they have ditched North Weald for Battlesbridge. A good thing generally ,as there is also a good day to be had waling round the tat stalls and shops there. Also, the Barge for lunch is recommended, if not a tad pricey.

I still think 4 quid is a total rip though, as other less fashionable parts of the country are being touted at £2.50. £4? Puts us on a par with the Solent.
Which is a bad thing.

Also, ebay has killed the day, and the quality and quantitiy at recent shows has been declining.

Cant be there anyway, as returning from the Row for a Reason at Heybridge, and wont get back til 6pm at least.

You folk down south are all ment to have loads of money, hence £4!!

Up north money has allways been tight, we've never had "the good times", but our turn will come one day!

Seriously the Humberside events are well worth while. The prices are right, plenty of individuals having "car boot" pitches.

And before cynics chirp up, there is a Police presence so dodgy dealers are detered from showing up.
