Who the F@Q! did this to my deck?
Someone has taken a chisel to our teak deck and completely destroyed it. Mind you, the amount of superficial delamination underneath leaves a lot to be desired, and we've unearthed a few leaking screws too. We still haven't got the moisture meter yet but it doesn't take a genius to work out Esper's weak points. The 435, beautiful though they were, were notorious for their leaking chain plates and ours is no exception. We'll be looking into this and working out how to prevent this from happening in future.
Team Esper, all smiles cos we've just told them we break early on Saturdays for beers
The team has been working so hard, and this week we were joined by three painters who are now faring the topsides. Nice lads, and they enjoy a beer, which we'll be providing every Saturday at 4.30 as a thank you for all their hard work.
The tent took two days to put up
It took ten lads two days to get the tent up. Not bad going considering the only thing they had was a 7T crane and extremely fit young Burmese lads to shimmy up the scaffolding. H&S? What H&S?
Vandals are caught spraypainting our top-sides
The same vandals then rub it all off again with 120 grit
Help yourself to a door frame
Two exciting projects: the chart table change and the forward heads that are no longer forward heads. From hereon in it will now be referred to as 'Liz's Study'.
What was our rear heads and shower
As usual there's a week-end video summary, which includes a cameo from Liz and her ridiculous sunglasses, and loads more photos. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone. There's a kite festival this weekend in Satun so we're having a fun day off.
