Here in Rebak Marina (Langkawi, Malaysia) a few boats have put their lights up. As I stated in a previous thread Liz and I try to out-chav our neighbours by going over the top with lights and tinsel. Our neighbours, Keith and Christine of 'Poco Andante' have some rather tasteful, simple lights that run up the forestay and down the backstay, so in true tradition we've bought the standard down by running two 10m red lights from the front awning back to the mizzen, two 2m blue and green lights around the cockpit, two 10m rope lights up the mizzen, and two multicoloured lights around the base of the mizzen and up the main sheet. Liz spent the day decorating, covering the winches with Santa hats, gave Millie's throne a disco look including a glitter ball, and a sleigh for mini-Santa in the cockpit!
As usual YBW does not allow me to post up any images (they're all under 100kb and 600px - any clues?), but you can see some day time and night shots here: http://www.followtheboat.com/2013/12/22/esper-lights-up-for-christmas/
Merry Christmas to all liveaboards around the world!
