Epoxy

I was talking to our local, (well respected), boat builder last week and we were discussing epoxy coatings for my hull, I had seen the usual brands in the chandlers and calculated the cost of six coats to be about £300, he told me to forget all that and get the stuff from the local builders merchant instead, he says it,s just as good and is a fraction of the price, so I did, it cost £64 and is the same two part epoxy as any other.

You didn't know that? Didn't mean to sound superior, But, Never buy epoxy from a chandlers, you can get it all over the place, it's not restricted to boats. I find the fibreglass moulders around the country to be a great source of stuff, if you take your own containers, they usually have the stuff in BIG containers, but are happy to sell you some. If you want a very small amount, then one of the big B&Q type places may have it.
