hi all
if you paintbrush epoxy thinly onto foam , will the epoxy be absorbed by the foam or will it still form a protective layer ? reason being this is in a small hole and i can't see properly. thanks.

G'day Joeh,

What type of foam will help, as some foams will be dissolved by resins, is this a foam sandwich deck?

Then you should have no problems.

Prior to filling, try to remove any contamination, dirt, sand salt etc, you can do this with a bent wire in a drill, then blow out the dust.

If the hole in the topsides, after applying a small amount of resin you can fill with a mixture of closed cell Micro Balloons or 'Q Cells' but it will need protection from UV, so a little dab of paint or Gel-coat will do the trick.

Hope this helps.
