For hand layup, to get a good ratio you're going to need a roller. Slow and steady, from the center. Well-rolled and with the ratio correct, there should be very little running.

I'd vote for East Coast Fibreglass Supplies. If you phone them up and tell them what you're trying to do they'll tell you how to do it. I moulded a fridge cabinet following such help.

I think that only really talks about polyester resins, however there are links on the site to the West epoxy resin guides and manuals but they are all on the West System website anyway http://www.westsystem.com/ss/
