Does anybody know (or even better can recommend) a contractor to professionally apply the requisite number of epoxy coats and subsequently coppercoat to our 11m yacht? The boat will be ashore in Gosport.

Thanks

I used a guy call Adrian Baker who works on his own and does a mobile service, think he's based in Soton 07885 175534. Isued him for exactly the same purpose:- 2 cots of epoxy then the coppercote. Very pleased with it, boat is currently out of the water and not much growth after 12months

what I should add to that is, I am normally in a locked marina half way up the Medina River in the IOW, Im at the far end where it is warm(ish) and pretty shallow and very prone to weed and other growth - this was the reason for the coppercote.
After a season in the water, the hull just needed a light pressure wash. Trim tabs and outdrives (which were not done with coppercote) needed lots of blasting

No net yet prepared but will either be slurry or soda blasted - whichever is more gentle. The whole subject seems to be a black art and I expect that it comes down to the skill of the operator.

Thanks everyone for your responses

Hi John
Still pleased with it 2 years on, boat is in the water mostly all year round so same again just a blast off with a pressure washer although I used the Sealift in Cowes and it came up great !
Probably have a go with some wet and dry paper to re-activate it again in a couple of years, but def worth it ! No nasty scraping and painting each year
