Epoxy coating ply

What did you go for in the end?

Is polyester resin a no no for sealing ply? It'll be painted with Hempel light primer, would this be ok on it's own?

Not done it yet - purely out of indolence - but I'll be using epoxy as I already have it...

Use epoxy, I have found the water based epoxies best for this job, resolcoat, being designed for the job. Do NOT use polyester resins, they will seperate. Resolcoat is thin enough and easy to apply, I swear by it, and of course being water based it cleans up easily plus of course brushes hands etc.

Ta, but yikes... £65 for a kilo... OTT for a couple of cockpit lids I'm afraid...
