I'm comparing this with International Original and forgot to get Epithanes thinner. I have International No1 thinner and white spirit. It's a very small test piece. Will white spirit be ok?

As far as I can see Epifanes Brushthinner is pure white spirit. (Naphtha (petroleum), hydrotreated heavy)

I mixed a wash coat of 50:50 and white spirit; mixed ok and went on ok. After 4 hours it's still ok.

It's applied onto an oil based stain which proved very difficult to get it dry enough for the Original to adhere. The stain was applied 2 days ago.

I've seen grown men cry over varnish .... I wish I'd never started it

Sorry, having a little problem with the pdf reader at present. You should find the information you need in one of these files:
http://www.boatpaint.co.uk/datasheets/Epifanes/epifanes.html

Rob.

It does not say "white spirit"
The data sheets seldom do, certainly not when the manufacturers sell their own thinner.
The MSDS for the thinner is, however, is where I copied "Naphtha (petroleum), hydrotreated heavy" from.
That's what white spirit is!
