.....can take a while to process...... I registered mine, using the online portal, in November 2022. The registration certificate and stickers arrived today, 21st of March 2025! Two years and four months later. Don't think it was lost in the ether, because the certificate states "Record Created Date: 29 November 2022." The wheels of State grind slow.......

Registration is instant. Printing and sending stickers takes a while, but that only affects coded vessels since the unit will work without the sticker.
Even before online registration, the unit would have worked and MRCC have confirmed this to be the case.
