S'pose it's painting a fence - for sitting on..?Depends on the application and expected outcome.
Exactly my response. Almost like should I have a pint of bitter or a glass of champagne.S'pose it's painting a fence - for sitting on..?
Well, yes, over several years. I've used it recently on some teak mounting blocks, but the 'joos' I have is frustratingly slow to dry.Have you experimented with Le Tonk?
Not sure if Brian will be at Southampton Boat Show, he was in two minds last year, but if he is well worth looking at what he has on show and a chat.
2 pack is really best if sprayed or at least done in controlled inside conditions. Single packs have come a long way and personally I don't think it is worth the extra effort and risk to use 2 pack. I have always used Toplac on my sheathed wooden boat and even the Oxford Blue did not fade and typically lasted 7 or 8 years before recoating to improve the shine, not because it was failing. Relatively cheap and easy to apply.Well, yes, over several years. I've used it recently on some teak mounting blocks, but the 'joos' I have is frustratingly slow to dry.
This thread/query is really about the 'coloured' high-gloss yacht paint - not the clear varnish.
