As the days show signs of being brighter longer but yet here in the Highlands we remain snow-bound and very much in winter’s grip, I sometimes amuse myself by trawling the internet for interesting blogs.

Such vicarious adventuring goes some little way to satiate one’s appetite to “get out there” and helps waylay the deepest of the seasonal blues.

One blog in particular that I have oft’ enjoyed is that of Mr Ken Williams. Mr Williams is a keen Nordhavn man and being inquisitive and technically minded, he shares his learning curve from the stages of relative novice to his present level of considerable experience in a very informative and analytical way. For those interested to explore his writings a good place to start would be http://www.kensotherblog.com
Perhaps you know of, and enjoy, other such blogs. If so, might I invite replies to this thread to share your findings so that we all might expand our knowledge and whet our cruising appetites for voyages we might wish to make in time to come?

Beggining to get those too Erre, the want just to be on the water and am also stuck in the wet and cold and snow in Scotland atm.

What boat do you have? where do you keep it up here?

I haven't seen the Williams' blog, but I do follow Scott and Mary Flanders, Voyage of Egret.
Scott covers everything that you would expect from the boating perspective to an exceptional level, but a strong focus remains on how they cope as a couple.
Although Scott is fortunate enough to own a beautiful Nord. 46, he also is a strong advocate for just getting out there in a good solid, well set up trawler
Check out Nordhavn Dreamers.com

Eee cock, if you'd have arrived here ten years ago, there used to be loads of blogs and stories of daring and daft do's. No one does em now tho.

Is it really that long ago? Well yes it must be - ****

Oh how so few of us are left, even your mate Brendan has moved on!
