Another day in paradise.

YMC-Yamaha-85AETL.jpg

Decided to do a little fishing.

Connected fuel, inserted and turned on battery cut out switch, inserted ignition key and clipped on kill-switch.
Trimmed engine down.
Started engine.

All systems go.

Wished to turn off engine.

Ignition key turned to 'OFF'. Nothing happens, engine keeps running.
Kill switch pulled. Nothing happens, engine keeps running.
Cannot trim engine up or down electronically.
Wires underneath all appear connected and fuses are OK.

Any suggestions on how to sort problem/challenge??

PS
Still went fishing.
Caught two Barracuda.
On return, disconnected the fuel line and starved the engine.

Well, my first reaction was, aren't you the hardy man to decide
to go fishing this time of year.... then I noticed your location!

I use a Yamaha on my tender, and of course these outboards
are turned off by the C.D.I. being ground by either the key switch
or the dead man's cord. Maybe one or the other is faulty?
I wouldn't be known for deep analysis, so I'd replace the two of them!
