Whilst changing my engine's (Farrymann 10HP) throttle cable I had to undo a linkage on the engine throttle shaft. After a test run it looks like I lost all engine throttle settings since the engine is running at high RPM when it should be idleing and varying the engine throttle lever results in all sort of RPM settings.

What should my course of action be now ?

Thanks in advance & best regards for the Christmas and the New Year

Sounds like you might not have left any slack in cable.
With engine switched off.
Set throttle lever to idle, check the throttle arm on the engine, and make sure it's against the stop. If there is a gap, slacken cable untill arm rests against stop. There should be a tiny bit of slack in cable. If you removed arm for any reason. Take it off again and make sure spindle is fully round to idle position. Then set cable up as above. Lastly operated thottle from idle to full a few times, and observe that nothing is catching, and throttle arm on engine returns to the stop each time.
Anyone care to add to that.

also make sure that you havent taken lever off the pump and put it back on in the opposite position so that you open instead of closing
