engine stop cable with red T-bar

My old engine stop pull cable has finally seized up completely. I am looking for a replacement with a red t-bar with the word "STOP" on it (such as shown in this article engine instrument panel refurbishment). An exhaustive internet search for this item has only revealed the common black variant from the likes of Morse Teleflex, etc.

Would anybody happen to know where I can buy the red version?

the red tee unscrews, the stop cable is a std teleflex and you screw the tee on to the new one

Close, but not there yet (but thanks anyway)... my old one is black. I actually saw the red handle in PBO of December 2006, where the article reffered to previously was published, and I was immediately charmed by it and decided I would get myself one if the old one ever gave up. Any other ideas?

do you want a cable or a handle

if its a cable then the std yanmar cable should be the one to use
if its just a knob then check the thread of the cable could be 1/4 unc or 3/16unf or something else altogether
and order one from either hindle controls or speedy cable

Have you tried your nearest agricultural dealer ?

Some tractors, including John Deere, have red stop cable handles.
