Take your choice of any engine that will fit?
Volvo, Nanni, Beta, Vetus, Yanmar etc
Some careful measuring of the space and get the brochures.
Whatever some people say in here, most of the modern marine diesels available are reliable and most if not all of them can have eye watering spares prices.
You might get a better deal for a whole new package, but measure and then shop around is the only real answer.

The most sensible thing is to replace it with a Volvo D1. Although you can get adaptors to mate other engines to the Volvo saildrive you end up with a 30+ year old drive and a new engine. The drive on its own to replace with new is £4k+. So better to bite the bullet and do the whole job with a matched Volvo engine and drive which pretty sure will fit straight on your beds. You may well be able to P Ex your old engine with Volvo or sell it privately. The saildrive alone has significant value given the high price of a new one.
