I have just bought a new boat with a Volvo Penta 2002. I am just about to service it. The manual calls for SAE 20W/30 or 10W.
These oils don't appear to be readily available. Do most people just put 15W/40 in?

15 > 40 is ok

Yes that'll be fine, but dont use a synthetic oil, use a mineral oil, it should be API CD, but you wont get any (at the moment) so use a API CF.
