engine noise via lid gaps

my KAD has a flat hinged engine cover with two twist locks at the other end
there is new fairly sturdy foam all the way round
when i stand on some of the edges the cover seals significantly better
as far as i can see the lid and the support is flat
recon i need some way to tighten it down better

rivnut it down would work, but its very visible, any other ideas please

yes, done that, if they screwed or levered down it would fix the issue
planning to change the foam to something less stiff
