Engine hour meter wiring

Steady on. Deep breathes.
My engine is a Yanmar but the panel is not original and by Nanni.

So?

The Op said his engine was an MD22L and he was wanting to fit a timer in place of the Volvo one which has, as they always do, packed up.

But from the experience level of the OP he's assuming it's a Volvo panel. It most likely is.

(And because they always pack up it may already have been replaced.)
It will of course actually be a VDO instrument.

I have gone to the trouble of down loading the manual for your engine,

I have studied the wiring diagram and I have told you where to connect the timer. I have told you the colour of the wires to connect it to.

I have told you that the wiring diagram shows no convenient connection in the engine bay.

Read my posts ... look at the wiring diagram in the owners manual for yourself

Do as I suggest and it will work!

I am sorry if my continuing post annoys you, I was just seeing if there was an alternative to playing with the wires at the back of the control panel, which I didnt feel confident in doing as mentioned in an earlier post.

I appreciate your time and effort, but not your attitude.

I dont allow my children to talk to me in that tone and I am certainly not going to tolerate here.
