engine graveyard ?

Morning all,
Its probably been asked before but where on earth do all the old inboards end up in this country either from straight re-powers or old and tired engines ?
I can find places in the states but not UK.
I'm possibly looking for a couple of old volvo 131's or 141's to rebuild over winter.

Generally speaking, I find that all knackered old engines, boats and anything that is shagged that should float go to Southern Ireland and occasionally East Anglia.

Many are bought by the engine reconditioners for reconditioning into rebuilt units, others are bought by them as scrap, and which will be broken and major components will be reconditioned and sold as reconditioned parts.

Many others are scrapped and then weighed in as mixed scrap, or broken for their various metals which are seperated and weighed in seperately for a higher price than mixed scrap.

The reconditioners dont have any so I guess they're all scrap or in Africa
