Hello,
I have just purchased a Kestrel 22, GRP built. It has the Vire 7hp still fitted but in need of a service, so the last owner has popped a Mercury outboard on the back, I think it's a 4.5hp.
He has told me it has done the job required, but I dislike the black lump spoiling the look of this baby yacht. So, I'm hopeful with some tlc the original motor can resume it's duties!
On a separate issue, is there an Owners Club for these boats...I have found evidence that some have thought about it, just wondering what the interest level is / could be?
I'm a complete amateur so full of beans with excitement!
