Anyone know where I can find the dimensions, Height,Width,Length, of both BMC 1.5 Captain & Ford XLD 1.6. Preferably both already marinised.

No idea about the BMC as I scrapped my Wolseley 1500 in 1973. I'm sure that I know someone with a Ford XLD416 and will get him to measure it tomorrow. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Saw that one Trevor, thanks. Wondered if there was any difference as in BMC 1.5 & BMC 1.8.

Have just scrapped a BMC/Thornycroft 1.5diesel with PRM hydraulic gearbox.

The gearbox weighed 140 lbs!
The engine estimated at 490lbs with everything on it.

Off the bearers it was 27 inches high and length including the gearbox was nearer 36 inches. About 17 inches to c/l of mountings onto bearers.

If you phone AMC diesel/Thornycroft at Preston and speak to Mike he should be able to help. Great bunch of people to deal with.

Tel No: 01772 613003

Phil
