Engine Cutting Out - Volvo Penta 5.7

Hi,
Over the weekend my engine has just started playing up, it starts on the turn of the key then runs for about 45 seconds then cuts out it then wont restart unless you leave it for a bit then will restart and then cuts out again after about 45 seconds. It is a carburettor engine and there is fuel in the tank has anyone had similar or knows what it could be?

Will it run at higher revs?

Possibly fuel pump, or blockage in idler jet in the carb?

Thanks for the reply, Yes it restarts easily and it will rev but dies the same after a short time.
The fuel pump is not that old so will try looking at the idler jet

Probably fuel starvation, not running long enough for electrics to get hot.
