Hi,
I am thinking of moving the Engine Morse lever to a sunken area in the upper cockpit sides.
Has anyone done this.? Pictures.?
Reasons for not doing it.?
Currently it is down by my right ankle and I keep kicking it.

thx

I've seen pictures of that style, but not tried it myself. Depends on your technique - I kick mine to adjust it without having to duck down and lose sight of where we're going. I'd consider trying it if I could reach it without losing sightof the manouevre.

There's someone on the forum who makes and sells fibreglass half-circles for exactly this purpose.

Now if only I could remember his name...

Thanks Pete,Yes its me.
I done this on my own boat last winter and what a difference it has made, no one kicks it any more.
I dident move it up but instead made a recess for it so it is now flush with side of cockpit locker.
I am busy on other grp mouldings at present but could do it for you before next april if thats not too late.

Here is recessed unit ready to get fitted to cut-out locker side.

And the finnished job.

Although I would be making any other units with a flange so unit can be screwed on to cut-out making it easier for folk like you, not meaning any offence, but it took some time to glass it in and fair off the circumfernce joint.

Thanks for the picture Wanderer.
It has helped in my decision to move the thing, but it looks a time consuming job.
Your moulding is far bigger than I need, so I will go for a self made custom jobby, higher up.
It may be moved on to on next winter's list now as I will soon be exposed to minus degrees C for the forseeable.

thx
Howard
