This is the sound proofing I have in my engine bay. It's a soft foam with 'nipples' in it.

Does anyone know if it contains any fire retardant qualities? I pulled off a bit and set light to it - it's not flammable but it appears to 'melt' a bit.

I'm going to e-mail Cranchi to ask too, but thought i'd ask here incase anyone else has the same stuff

it shouldn't burn, but will if saturated with oil. Not allowed on new boats under CE regs, has to be fluid resistant in the engine bay for that reason.
