hello there! could anybody offer advice on which paint to use in a engine bay/compartment of a princess 32. we have recently had to take the engines out for refurb and they are going back in soon hopefully with no oil leaks!!, so now is the perfect time to freshen it up so i can pinpoint any future leaks quickly. do i need a specialist paint? thanks

I thought that I would economise by using normal marine paint. It was OK for four years but then it started to lift in patches. The time that I spent getting the rest off befor I applied Danboline cost me SO much more! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Now I have Danboline and I only wish that I had applied it at the beginning. It really does make a difference. It's almost like a gelcoat. The only pity is that I could not find any white; only 'battleship grey'.

thanks for the response guys, seen danboline advertised in a few places so i will order some,i maybe thought there would be a few (off the shelf at B+Q)alternatives with the same components.

Very true but I could not find any here, in Malta. Even if they would mail it - which I doubt - it would not have been worthwhile. My 'engine bay' is very small. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
