Hi,

Been off-line for a while due to work commitments and can't believe the amount of outstanding posts (10,000), boy have you lot been typing - well I've got the winter to catch up.

Having a email conversation with one of the boating forum guys about the Sealine S24 engine blowers. We both have our engine bay blowers set-up differently, his sucks and mine blows, so who is set-up correctly?

Regards,
RM.

Errrr! Shouldn't it suck out thus expelling nasties? Fresh air then comes in through the vents.

You need to come more often. There was a thread, sorry long thread a bit ago. Do a search for it.

Not sure if mine are correct(not Sealine), but I have 2. 1 sucks fresh air in and blows across engine bay, t'other sucks out of engine bay and blows fumes to outside. Probably this just confuses more as there are also vents in there also.

At least one manufacturer says : don't have blowers on at all with engine running-danger of damaging blower motors.

Soooo.....only use is to extract fumes b4 starting/working on engines.

Charming! Obviously just read the book "how to join a Forum and make friends"

Re: Who is this Bruno geezer anyway.........

I find it increasingly strange that whenever bruno is online, so is dinghy and when one logs off, so does the other. They are rarely on alone....hmmmm? Could they be even closer than Bally Bollinger Boundahs..what?

Even more strange. If as he says. He has a Princess 65. Has it got PETROL engines?? Or why a blower. Sounds like a lot of hot air to me/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Talking to factory this morning on another matter, asked question, engine room fans suck on all boats bar one, that has two sucking, and one blowing.

Re: Who is this Bruno geezer anyway.........

I had a large trawler yacht 60' and that had engine room blowers ( out ) . They were intended for hotter climes, but were useful to cool the engine room before walking in. Those were the days!
