Engine and outdrives - what would you fit?...

Hi Swordfish,

I thought your extended hull bouncy was impressive , add to it your re engine project and I'm thinking you could post a great dedicated thread on your Bayliner modification and enhanced performance ...........please ?

Or do you have a link to an existing thread Ive missed

cheers
Pete

Sorry to " hi jack " this thread slightly,

Hello Pete, I have actually re-built the Bayliner totally over the past three years, and have hundreds of photos. I have thought about a " re-build " thread but not sure if my boat is of much interest here ? Regards, Paul

Apologies to Fred Drift, but I'd certainly be interested - glutton for rebuild threads!

When GM 6.2 was mentioned thought you were having a larf at the expense of OP, now confirmed......

Saw those on eBay a couple of months back and wondered about feasibility of fitting one - but how do you attach the fuel barge and how much of the 600HP is used just to carry the fuel? :D

Tank you to everyone who has replied to my post.

Given me massive food for thought.

Just that i have had somewhat of a windfall, and am looking to "present" my boat in memory of my dad who passed away las march.

I should do the sensible thing and buy a new boat, but in his memory i would like to do what we did best back in the day and have a meet (poole/wareham) i did enjoy meeting all the others... too many to name, but you know who you are.

but, would like to finally get the boat finished (everything else is done now) by fitting engines. and cruise down the frome, into the harbour and do what my dad and me so wanted to do.

time is a great healer, but too much time is wasted trying to achieve te un-achievable.

thanks again to you all, and hope that next year brings the "meet" to end all meets.
