Engine access importance?

On a scale of 1 to 10 i would say it is about 11.5 ,

Local guy with an Oceanlord was in the cockpit locker when the lid closed, and latched. His phone was in the cabin, no one near.
He had a screw driver, so managed to remove the panel on the engine enclosure and crawl over it and out via the side access into the cabin. All by feel and patience.

Nothing worse than limited access or having to remove one item to get to another, quite often leads to things not being checked/serviced as they should. Thankfully we don't have that problem.
